Artists Information and Application
Art On Symmes represents more than 250 artists and craftsmen in its gallery and on the web at Artonsymmes.com. The gallery features jewelry, glass, ceramic, metal; wood, fiber, paintings, garden art and accessories for men, women and children. In 2007 Art on Symmes was named the Retail Star for creative excellence in Home Accent Today magazine. As a Home Accents Today Retail Star you are recognized for your innovative approaches to marketing and merchandising and having an impact on your community. Art on Symmes is being named one of the Stellar Retailers in the nation, a singular award for a business less than five years old. It is our commitment to offer our customers the very best in American craft available today. Art On Symmes was picked by readers of the Cincinnati Enquirer as a Hometown Favorite Boutique.
Space in our gallery is very limited, therefore we can only accept a small number of new artists in each review period. If you are interested in submitting your work for consideration, please note the following:

RETAIL COMMITTEE MEETS

Artists will be evaluated by the following criteria:
1. Quality of design, materials and workmanship
2. Salability and pricing
3. Ability to maintain needed production
4. Availability of our display space
5. A fit with the style of our gallery
Artists are asked to submit an Artist information Packet, including the following:
1. A resume or bio sheet
2. Full contact information including address, phone number, e-mail and web-site if applicable
3. Photos [on paper or CD] of work you are submitting
4. Description of materials, methods and techniques you use
5. Wholesale prices; also indicate if you are willing to consign work
6. List of all Ohio galleries and shops that carry your work
7. A stamped self-addressed envelope large enough to accommodate your packet so we can return it
We will notify you within 2 weeks of our decision. If you work is accepted, Art on Symmes will work diligently to display and sell it. In return, we ask for exclusive representation in the greater Cincinnati region. One of our marketing goals is to present our customers with new work that they do not see in other area galleries.
